      • Camilina update. Planting beans in camilina may 12, second and third picture may 26 Camilina now knee high and starting to flower. Looking very good and beans about to emerge. So far very clean just a few dandelion and a couple spots of volunteer wheat, and a little downy brome and those were mostly in open areas. Will be interesting to see how this turns out.

        • Thanks for the update, look forward to how it turns out! How’s the soil moisture looking? Any concerns with the camellia using too much?

          • @austincarlson not at this point. Camilina is a low moisture use and beans need rain late July August. My thoughts would be if it doesn’t rain July Aug beans will not be great either way. Beans don’t like wet feet early (at plant) which is a positive this year which is unusual for us. Cargil says this heat at flowering is not ideal as it is not as heat tolerant as canola yet. What I do like is no chemical exspenses yet. Will we get by with just one chemical pass. Possibly just on pass of liberty??? Would help bottom line on bean inputs.
