Does anyone in their network know of someone that is using Johnson Su Bioreactors? I would like to visit with them over the fall/winter.

Check out Jay Young, Young Red Angus, applies Johnson-Su compost over thousands of cropland acres annually. Having some amazing results with yields and reducing inputs. Several uTube videos.

Colin, I’ve got 2 reactors in progress now. Started one in May, the other in July. Both now have worms and seem to be doing well. It’s very intriguing to watch them evolve over the weeks/months.

I started a modified J/S compost in late April. I added worms after the heat cycle. I covered it with an upside down seed sack, and it has not need any water all summer. Under the microscope it looks really good with lots of amoeba and flagelletes, indicating aerobic conditions. I'm hoping to use it as an extract to treat all our seed at planring time next spring. It would work well on cover crops also. Jim Ristau
