I am renting corn stalks to be grazed by a person with pairs currently on corn stalks. My renter is unsure how well the calve will gain on stalks and if he should pull them off cows and wean them or leave them on cows. He feels cows are in good condition yet and is monitoring cows not to let them go backwards. Anyone have experience or thoughts on what the potential gain could be with the calves on the stalks?
