Good morning! What species are many of you using for interseeding into corn? Looking for something economical for grazing after harvest and chopping. I’ve looked at forage beans for the chopping acres but just seeing what’s out there working.

      • I fly on cereal rye in late August. May be small impact for grazing in fall, but the potential is in spring. Gives flexibility to graze before pastures are ready. We use it more for planting beans into the growing rye, which eliminates any erosion during wind events like last week.

If you want it to winterkill, I would say oats after chopping if you chop in early September, you should get great fall growth. Purple top turnips are wonderful grazing in the winter
