Dear Blake, this is Bob Thaler from SDSU. It really depends on the variety of rye you are using. If it is traditional rye, then the limit for finishing pigs is a maximum of 25%, in part due to concerns with the mycotoxin ergot. If it's the new Hybrid Rye that's gotten a lot of attention the last 5 years, then you can go to higher levels. Depending on the cost, I'd start at 30% in grower diets, and then increase as the pigs got older. Once they hit 200 lbs, you could be at 50% of the diet.
